In Mint Condition, we find the classic setup for romance. A rich, successful, young Real Estate CEO from California meets a sassy, smart, beautiful young mechanic from Kentucky. The sparks fly the instant these two set eyes on each other, but neither of them fully understands the many strands of their family's histories that are linked together. What follows is a wonderfully, fun, at time steamy, but always fascinating trip across country to deliver a classic Cadillac to the auction in California.
Nick and Maddie try hard to make this explosive new relationship work and each realises they need each other, but both are harboring things that could wreck the blooming relationship. In many way, there two young lovers are perfect cases of two people suffering for the sins of their fathers.
Throw in a long-forgotten jewel heist, some shady characters and you have all the ingredients for a fast-paced, romantic adventure.
I really did enjoy reading this and my interest is definitely piqued to check out the second book in this series, which focuses on Nick's brother and his relationship with his "ex" fiancee.
Drennan had written an excellent, solid, romantic adventure. It is clearly her genre and she's good at it. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who likes an action romance. A good, solid four stars from this reviewer.
