As the editor of this wonderful book, I do have a slightly vested interest (not financial - just emotional) in seeing Colin Griffiths' latest release, do very well.
I've known Colin for a couple of years now and I've read every book he's written. What I have loved watching is Colin's development, from a rough and ready storyteller to a genuine indie author, who can hold his head up high with the very best.
Colin is a consummate story-teller, that was evident from his very first novel, but now what we see is a consummate story-teller, who is able to put a professional, well-written book together for the reading public. Such is MOTHER!

Can Francis break the links that tie her to her evil mother? Can David persuade her to lead a new life, with him? or will her mother stop them?
The death of a homeless man sets in motion a series of events, as Francis' life changes all around her. Only to watch her mother as she slowly destroys the passion and all good things that come Francis' way. Can Francis break from the chains of her mother and lead the life she always wanted to?
Francis Tilsey has had to care for her mother since she was seventeen, as well as holding down a full- time job at the benefits agency, and also a weekend charity worker at a soup kitchen. She had never even considered leaving her all- controlling mother, until she met her first love at the age of twenty seven. Francis has found a new life and she will not let her mother destroy it, will she?
A psychological Thriller/Horror.

I worked in a steelworks for 22 years, soon to become a senior union official. I then was offered a job as a full-time union official and was located in South Yorkshire, where I spent 12 years doing that. I decided to stay in Yorkshire, working part-time as a CCTV operator.
I have always had a fascination with horror and the paranormal and as a reader was an enormous fan of Steven King. When I finally realised, in my early fifties, that writing was something I wanted to pursue, it was natural that Horror/Paranormal genre was the theme of my novels.
To date, I have written seven novels. My first novel was; Never Say Goodbye, which I completed at the age of 56, this was followed by its sequel; There Was No Body. My latest two novels are A Life For A Life and Someone Else’s Dream. I have also just completed a supernatural, thriller, titled Tortured Minds, in collaboration with two other authors; Grant Leishman and Rachel McGrath.
My current work in progress is the third in the Fenton books titled ‘Uncle Gabriel.’
I grew up in South Wales, in a place called Underwood.
All of my novels have been exceptionally well received, by readers, much to my surprise, with Never Say Goodbye receiving amazing reviews.
Writing is my passion and I will continue writing for the rest of my days, I only wished I had started earlier.
I have also published some poems I wrote as a teenager in a book titled Rhymes of Nonsense. This is also available, but be warned, these are very raw and unpolished, teenage meanderings.
