SYNOPSIS:

"Rise of the AntiChrist" is the sequel to "The Second Coming. It focuses on the Castillo family as a whole, but more especially on the two twin children of Jesus Christ (JC) and Maria Manyanan-Castillo (Ma), Damien and Samantha; one or both of whom may grow up to be the AntiChrist.
The story is set in the beautiful Philippine Islands although it includes travel to Las Vegas and all over Asia. It follows the two children, a girl (Samantha) and her brother (Damien), who realize very early on that although their father has relinquished his immortality to marry their mother, their genes are still far from those of a normal human being.

Their parents are continuing the work begun by JC and Ma, in "The Second Coming", touring the world trying to instill a positive change in humanity. The two children who accompany them will go through the process of understanding that they are "different" from their peers and will begin to exercise and test the limits of just how "different" they really are.
Ultimately one, or both will be pitted in a battle with their parents for the minds and souls of a generation.

PUBLICATION:

On September 1st 2015 Pentian Publishing have advised they will pick up and fully fund "Rise of the AntiChrist".

The book was released on February 10th 2016.

Pentian Publishing have released the cover design for the book and it's pretty spectacular in my opinion.

I have begun the third book of the Series; "Holy War" and I would hope to have it completed by October 2016, with publication slated for November 2016. I will almost certainly be self-publishing "Holy War".

EXTRACT FROM RISE OF THE ANTICHRIST:
This extract comes from the very beginning of the book - Chapter 1, where I introduce the characters of Damien and Samantha:

Neither Samantha nor Damien knew they were different; “special” somehow – that revelation would come to them much later in life. For now they were happy and content to grow and develop in the caring, warm, comforting environment that was their mother’s womb.
Damien, the more active of the twins, lifted his almost fully developed eyebrow at his sister, as if to say; “how’s it going Sis.”
Her lips morphed into a smile as she replied; “I’m cool Bro. Any idea how much longer we gotta stay in here?”
He responded the way he always did to her impatience. “Hey Sis, what you want to leave for? We got everything we could ever want in this place. I don’t wanna find out what’s waiting for us out there, anyway.”
Samantha kicked away and floated around, so she was not looking directly at him anymore. “Well, I’m just bored! I want to find out what’s in store for us.” He reached out one of his perfectly formed, little, arms; placing it gently around
his sister’s waist, being extra careful not to bump the cord that provided her with all the nutrients she needed.
“I’m just happy here with you Sis. I love you!”
She felt the comfort of her brother’s body gently lapping against her back, and relaxed; as they both fell into a deep, restful sleep.
                                                               . . .
Maria Manyanan-Castillo rolled over on the bed. Damn those kids are getting restless, she thought.
Her husband, JC, lay beside her, on his back, gently snoring; his lips softly fluttering with each intake of breath. Her heart swelled with wonder and with love that she and JC were finally together forever and inside of her was, rapidly growing, the fruits of their love. They’d been shocked initially to discover they were expecting twins – but the shock lasted all of two seconds before the excitement kicked in. The last scan had confirmed what they’d hoped for all along – a perfect set; one boy and one girl.
Ma chuckled as she remembered her reaction to the news. She’d screamed and jumped up on JC, grasping him around the neck, wrapping her legs around his waist, and kissing him passionately; without any thoughts of what other people might think. From the very first moment, she had loved JC passionately, and now they were married; she didn’t care who she showed it to.
The Doctor had stood there and watched it all, smiling. This was one of the best parts of her job, imparting the good news to the prospective parents. Dr Annabelle Silorio, a highly respected Manila obstetrician, had seen most things in her thirty odd years of practice, but she felt there was something a little odd about this pregnancy; something she’d never seen before. Pushing her glasses back up her nose, brushing a stray, prematurely greying hair back into its rightful place, she gestured for JC and Maria to take a seat. Maria noticed the slight furrow on the Doctor’s brow.
“Doctora,” she began; “what’s wrong? Is there something wrong with the babies? Did you see something in the scan? Please tell us. What’s the matter?”
The doctor leant forward so she was close to them, and smiled reassuringly.
“No...no...no, please don’t get worried – both babies look absolutely perfect in the scan; too perfect actually.”
JC placed his arm on the Doctor’s white lab coat; “too perfect? How on earth can two babies be too perfect?”
The Doctor laughed; “perhaps that’s not the right word. Here’s the thing though. According to everything you told me Maria, you should be six months pregnant now...right?”
Ma looked up at the ceiling and mentally counted the months since she and JC had made love that first time, when they had returned to Davao, from Pangutaran Island. “Absolutely, it was almost exactly six months ago. I’m absolutely sure I know the date I conceived;” she added.
“Well...both of your babies are already full-term. They’re completely developed; everything is already there and fully functional. If I didn’t know you and I looked at your scan, I would say you were just about to deliver.”
She paused and looked hard at Maria; “In fact Maria, I would say you’re at least two weeks overdue.”
Maria jumped from her chair and shouted; “If you’re suggesting what I think you’re suggesting Doctor, then you’re totally wrong. There’s been nobody since I met JC – he’s my everything!” She buried her face in her hands and sat again; “No...no...no...you’re totally wrong,” she cried.
JC reached over and placed an arm around her shoulder whilst the Doctor raised her hand to try and placate Maria.
“No Maria! You misunderstand me. We both know who JC really is. Goodness me – for the past year, everyone in the world has known exactly who JC really is. No...all I’m thinking is that although he’s given up his immortality and become wholly human, perhaps his genes are still those of an immortal. Perhaps your children will be special in some way.”
Looking at them opposite her; worried and confused, she spread her arms and opened her hands wide. “Look guys! I just don’t know – maybe you’ll give birth tomorrow Maria, or maybe you’ll go the full nine months; it’s just a total mystery to me.”
She got out of her chair and squatted down in front of them, placing one hand on JC’s knee and one hand on Maria’s knee. “Just don’t worry please...okay? The babies are perfect – trust me”.
They stood up, their smiles almost complete, but doubts still nagging in the corners of their minds. After hugging Dr Silorio and thanking her for her help, they left the surgery and headed to the nearest coffee shop for a much needed boost of sugary donuts and coffee.
                                                                                            . . .
JC looked across the coffee-shop table and took both Maria’s hands in his. “Honey, neither of us gave much thought to any ramifications that might follow my decision to return to earth and become fully human. We assumed that fully human would mean just that – but the Doctor’s right. I am still Jesus Christ; the Son of God, and who knows what that might mean in the future, for our children...but hey, you heard Annabelle...right? She said the twins looked perfect.”
Maria grinned and grasped his hands; “yeah, she did, didn’t she. JC...we’re going to be parents very soon – damn that’s scary!”
He laughed; “Well hon, for now we better head back to Mindoro and our hideaway, until the time comes.”
Maria looked concerned; “Do you think I’ll do the full nine months JC? You heard what she said – but I don’t feel like I'm ready to give birth yet, I think it will be full-term.”
He nodded and smiled reassuringly at her, before they left to head back to their little hut in the hills of Northern Occidental Mindoro. They had been living amongst the native Mangyan people; engaged in bringing basic education and health care services to the tribe.
                                                                                               . . .
Maria pulled herself wearily out of the bed. She’d slept well, but she was indeed a full nine months pregnant now and the strain of carrying these twins to full term was starting to wear heavily on her.
She grinned as she recalled the doctor worrying she would not make the nine months. It was now nine months and two weeks!
“Time you little ones put in an appearance;” she muttered, patting her stomach lovingly, as she trod wearily to the outside tap and their washing area – little more than a drum filled with rainwater.
                                                                                                    . . .
Samantha tapped her brother on the shoulder; “you awake kiddo?” she thought directly into her brother’s mind.
Damien giggled to himself and pretended to still be asleep, until she kicked him hard on his left buttock.
“Owww!” he protested angrily; “that hurt, you bully.”
Samantha just ignored his complaint and continued. “I think it’s time we got out of here Bro! What do you say we give it a go, eh? I reckon if we start heading downward we can squeeze through that tiny, little, gap down there.”
Damien twisted his head to look and his thoughts carried his incredulity to Samantha; “through there? Damn girl! You gotta be kidding – we can’t fit through there.”
Her reply was to just kick with her feet and start trying to force the opening apart with her hands. “Just watch me – I’m going! Are you coming with me?”
                                                                                                            . . .
Maria was bending over, scooping water on her face when she felt the sharp pangs of the twins moving again; “awful early for you two to be awake,” she chuckled down at her stomach, continuing to wash her face.
She gasped, as a pain like a knife cutting through her pelvis, lanced at her. Sinking to her knees she managed a strangled scream for help. The call brought a bleary-eyed JC, who tore through the door; still pulling his pants on.
“Hon, what’s wrong? Is it the babies?”
Maria looked up and grimaced. Through clenched teeth she muttered; “It’s time JC! Oh...Oh...Oh...God! It’s definitely time! These two are on their way out.”
JC, like millions of men before him, panicked. He ran around barking instructions to nobody in particular, turning this way and that, as if seeking some sort of divine inspiration.
Maria grabbed hold of his leg and shouted at him; “JC, we haven’t got time to get to Manila ha – just get me to the Mamburao District Hospital. They have good doctors there. Come on, pull yourself together man!”
Her sharp tongue snapped him to attention. “Right, right, okay – we can do this! Now...can you stand honey? I’ll get some of the boys to get you onto the back of the truck and then we’ll go.”
The trip down the mountainside was like a never-ending nightmare for Maria. JC sat beside her on the bed of the flat-deck, holding her hand and whispering encouragement in her ear. As the truck jolted and swayed its way down the narrow, dirt road from the Mangyan village to the main road, Maria clutched, desperately, to his hand.
Every few minutes she would be seized by another contraction and would dig her fingers mercilessly into JC’s vulnerable flesh. He may well have been the son of God, but at this moment he was like every other man in this situation – completely helpless and totally terrified.
Fortunately, as the truck skidded to a halt beside the emergency entrance of the hospital, Maria was still holding on. She assured JC after her last contraction that she could feel the baby’s head coming out. A quick check confirmed what she’d said and he was mightily relieved to hand control over to an efficient group of hospital personnel. They quickly bundled Maria onto a gurney and headed for the maternity suite.
At 8.45am on June 22nd 2015; Samantha Manyanan Castillo entered the world; to be followed five minutes later by Damien Manyanan Castillo.
Samantha, swaddled in a blanket, and already on her mother’s breast, when her brother joined her on the other breast; looked warily around the delivery suite before declaring to Damien; “So this is what the world looks like Bro – Damn! It ‘aint half bright is it?–”...
